Why you want to join: Well I've decided to permanently stay at this forum as Runescape is my passion and this forum pretty much suits all my needs. I'd love to join the development team because I love to design, create and generally contribute as much as possible, and this will definitely allow me to do so. I also think it'd be very educational and beneficial for me, and an overall great experience.
Proof of earlier developed programs or code: I have nothing to hand, although I'm a .NET coder, as well as an intermediate PHP programmer, and have designed and developed unique and secure user systems for companies such as - http://flodro.net/

Thanks.

I don't want to be rude but I found this site in our referrers at Interstate and it turns out this is the post responsible for the referrals. May I ask who you are and what you believe you've built for us at BakedCode/Interstate? I just find the post a bit strange as I don't believe we've outsourced any work to you :p.

RE: Rune Gear's Development Team - Applications

I still have a hard time understanding how there are people that were admitted into the writers group that can't even speak English properly to begin with. I don't mean to be rude but if I'm going to need to point fingers I will to make my point.

And I'll add to that, I've seem many leeched tuts, too many, claiming they own them, then getting accepted for their outstanding writing skills,

Also, WTF is this!!! They get into the writers group, "oh, sweet" and they stop putting out tuts.

Too much kiss asses and slackers in the writers group.

There's very little you can do to force people to continue doing their job once they've received the title. That's something you see a lot of places. However, what I'm concerned about is the quality of the users that are being accepted to begin with. Not to point fingers but someone's obviously overseeing this entire development team with regards to admittance and if there's people that are getting in that can't speak proper English, the assessor was either tricked or didn't follow a rigorous enough selection procedure.

I mean, c'mon; http://runegear.net/Thread-How-to-throw-a-punch?pid=90409#pid90409

Let's just hope he picks the right people for the job. I applied, and I know I wouldn't fit the roll. Same with 90% of the people who did.

RE: Rune Gear's Development Team - Applications

I have to agree with Solidify.
How most people have been accepted into Writers astonishes me.
I've made HQ, detailed tutorials and my 1.5k word e-Book which is to the highest quality of standard, and I get denied.
It's crazy, some can't even use proper English & Grammar.

RE: Rune Gear's Development Team - Applications

I've left the Writers group, too much work irl that is going on.
I'll still write some tutorials up though, and finish a couple that I was working on.
