Let me cover this straight, there's light at the end of the road, but with Rune Gear, isn't there always? Although, I don't see a tunnel of darkness any time soon (metaphor).

Rune Gear yesterday was struck with an 800megabit/s DDOS attack. The attack was 8x our port size and obviously destroyed the connection. With some effort from our VPS provider, they couldn't mitigate the attack. What a shame, so they null-routed us (story of my life). Now here I am, having a mid-life crisis (RG style). I decide to upgrade to a dedicated server.

Let me just say, this server will destroy your minds. The speed is epic (yes, I'm saying epic), the RAM is 5x more than the old servers and the processor speed is amazing! Just be patient, we'll be on it very soon.

I'm in a cheery mood that this dedicated server will last for about one year.

Well, I hope no more DDOS attacks come and hopefully we can be in peace. I was getting scared and hoping you didn't lose any data on the site or anything. But, I'm glad to see it back up .

I hope it wasn't who I think it was. I feel very bad if I just upgraded a member and he goes out and scams, I'm sorry, I disappointed you :/.
