Rune Gear is not your private service. We do not ban scammers as soon as a scam report is posted. We will not hide your information if we are contacting with legal action. We will not release anyone's information at your request.

Rune Gear is as is. We are a RuneScape fan-site and a RuneScape resource. Use it as it is. We allow discussion about botting because in the end, there will be botters for every game and the fact is, it's completely legal. Anything that is illegal and posted on RG, it will be removed ASAP and the offender will be punished.

We also have no official Middlemans on Rune Gear. Staff/Management middlemen are not in the trade as RG Forum Team members, they are just normal members. If you are scammed, that is not our fault. We will not assist you in completing a trade, we will assist you by posting tutorials on trading safely.

Furthermore, Rune Gear's botting section is gaining quite a bit of traffic. We're on first page for "Runescape botting". I will make a new rule. RuneScape Botting is against the games rule, therefore I'd appreciate (and expect) that botting tutorials be posted in the botting section.

One more thing to cover. Any upgrades are just a benefit of running this forum. I get some extra funds which I will use on anything I want to use, but the fact is, the money I get is invested back into RG. A $5 upgrade from users show that they support me and Rune Gear and our success. I do this voluntarily, and that's the least I ask (if you want to donate, no one is forced). Users have access to countless tutorials, resources and a large community to talk to.

I want to say on this, Congrats on getting RuneGear on the first page for botting discussion.

However people should take more precautions in the marketplace, as it is impossible for the forum team to determine and sort every incident out.

Never trade with someone you don't trust but most importantly use your most trusted middleman you can find.

Yeah, I'd like to recommend all the members to take precautions when dealing in a trade. If someone is serious about trading, they'll also be taking precautions and not rushing.

im not sure what urged you to make this post, maybe some bratty kids asking for ip's and what not.

none the less this needs to be said ALL the time, TRADE WITH CAUTION, no matter who your dealing with and im 99% sure The Elite will NOT give ANY information about you over the net or anywhere.

Good thing you posted this, sir. I would never use RuneGear as a private service, and never will. Good-job on being on the first page, and it is true that there are no official middle-men. I hate the people that think so. Whatever you do, I'm with you 110%, and I'm sure the community is aswell. Good job on everything you done, you deserve every good thing you receive. Kudos.

I know I can take some of the blame for the botting section, lol... I just what was there and took care of it. Now we have @"CrystuL" who I consider to be an avid dumper as well.

I also like the part about the marketplace. Some people forget that it's the Internet and that there are scammers everywhere. It is not RuneGear's fault someone is scammed, unless we as a community were supporting it, which is not the case.

As for the upgrades, @"CrystuL" and I have made a slight move to help towards RG Elite upgrades. If people want to come here just to leach auth dumps, the least they can do is support the forum. This is a RuneScape community, not an auth dumping site, so we want more people to get involved with the community.

I love what's being done with this forum and I look forward to the future of RuneGear.

Hm, well @ "We will not hide your information if we are contacting with legal action. " My paypal was hacked and $30 was attempted to be stolen from my bank account. I contacted Techno for the ip of the guy since he was from here but he couldn't give it to me, so what would you guys have been able to do about that? Contact the guys local authorities? I just wanted to scare him. But if it was more then $100 I would have asked for you to contact the local authorities for him, and would you have done that?

The problem is when someone is stupid and does something they shouldn't by taking someones money an account or something else being sold, it doesn't just effect the user at hand but it also disrupts the community. It really isn't fair, and the problem is the only people that can do anything can't actually do anything.
