With the change in Rune Gears management coming swiftly, a warning is being issued upon all future members who think they are able to scam on this website and maintain a membership here, that's a misconception we are ensuring will be fixed within the next few weeks. Scamming is completely unacceptable, and something which is highly unethical and punishable by law and with account terminations, defying Rune Gear Policies.

Glen Hughes has also released a statement regarding the recent banning of a specific member known by many, @"Carbon":

After much consideration from the RG team we have decided that Carbon must be banned to reflect the communities concerns and desires for his past actions.

In accordance with our rules, all scammers whether past, present or future will be permanently banned from the website, no more Market Bannings. This is a warning to those who perceive Rune Gear to be lenient on scammers, this is a misguided conception which will be alleviated in the upcoming weeks, as mentioned previously.

Note: All scamming tutorials and guides are welcomed, just as long as no activity of this kind is performed on the forum.

I mean really...You can't threaten Scammers with any temptation, whether that be saying how Severe the ban will be or not. Scammers get banned after they already scammed someone, so really banning Carbon doesn't effect anyone or anything.

That's fine, but can someone please show me where Carbon scammed 4b? I am pretty sure the only scam report on him is ~1b. He literally can make anyone on this forum believe anything.

With the new competitions and features we are going to be offering to the current and new members of RG, we cannot be seen to be allowing someone who has scammed before be allowed to remain as a member of the community. He had a position of power when he done this.

I liked Carbon I thought he had good ideas, sadly I had very little choice after finding out what has gone on.

Glen, if you look at my vouches it says i have scammed twice, this is a result of me letting someone else on my runegear account, if you think i should be banned, ill accept it because i let my mate go on my account

If a complaint is made and valid evidence is supplied then we would have no choice but to perm ban the user. As far as I am aware this isn't the case with you so no action will be taken.

Lots of scammers being banned, but only Carbon was the one we cared about.
