I also do not know, I asked him this on MSN " If we delete our PM's on RuneGear will it help you in any way?" He said yes, so I posted this thread a couple of days after.

Not positive on how this will help.

Pms take up bandwidth, and if we use to much the site can slow down, and if it goes over the limit the site can be temporarily turned off until fixed.

It's not going to help on bandwidth, unless you guys keep going to view your private messages, the most thing it would do is reduce the amount of space on the hard drive,

Ryan is somewhat correct. The more PMs we have, the more data that is stored in the server. I said It'd help us, but not yet, we're too young for PMs to affect us.

Exactly. Bandwidth is simply amount of information transferred, which has nothing to do with the amount of PM's. It would reduce Hard Drive space, but not bandwidth.
Still makes our site faster! =)

Lol, depedning on how much you get pmed. Considering i have 439 Pm's in my storage, if i deleted it it may help the hard drive.
But we are to new of a forum to worry about this.

Even if you had 1,000 pm's and 500 users had that many, it wouldn't even be 1mb in storage, you gotta think not even a long pm is going to be 1kb in space..

I am not deleting all mine, because of safe keeping. But for the junk (me and Techno's Huge conversation), i will delete.
