I'm applying for: Programmer:

Why: http://www.runegear.net/forums/showthread.php?tid=65322, http://www.runegear.net/forums/showthread.php?tid=26186. I can code in VB.net and Java. I used to script for RSBuddy.

-ISP.

If this guy gets accepted, I want admins to remove my current programmer award and make an award called "Experienced Programmer" and give it to me.

Stop being so egotistical

He is making a point. A good one in my opinion.

I believe awards were given out very rarely and when they were it was well deserved. Now that has changed. If you meet the bare minimum you get the award it seems.

The definition of an award is evolving in a direction that makes them less meaningful.

But still, if you meet the requirements that means you should be able to get it.

Well, everyone has a chance to apply for it. So I go for it. And Chewbaka, if you're so "experienced", do you mind to show it? I'd like to see if you're experienced, as you're saying.

Considering I am going to college for CS major and have been programming for 3 years along with knowing 5 different languages. Yes, I would say I am experienced (at my age).

If you make a award owned by many it becomes worthless and no one will try for it.

Maybe you should "retire" some of the useless ones, like swagger, pet activist, shadow, anything that REALLY doesn't have to do with the forums, or the games that the forums represent. Another way to make the awards, legitimate awards, is to raise the standards. This would also increase the amount of HQ users the forum has.

My two cents.

At this time no awards will be removed.

Okay... so how about all the other stuff I said. Have any opinions on that? I believe raising the requirments for the awards is the more important necessity.

Also depends on what your definition of 'knowing' them is.

What languages do you know anyway?

"Knowing" pretty much is you can go look up the documentation of a class then be able to implement it into your project (this goes for projects that have an API, so C is different). Also, you understand the syntax. No one can absolutely know a whole language.

Languages that I am able to code in is: Java, C, C#, C++, .NET, PHP, SQL, HTML(lol not code). I do know random scripting languages like AutoIt.

WHY has my spam shield been removed..?
