I still think it's pretty shit that you can basically patent anything these days and completely deny your competition from using it just to get the upper hand. Apple has basically patented all advancements in technology which inevitably stunted the development of new phones

Learn your information before posting anything. Samsung phones will be almost exactly the same. The Galaxy S 3 which is their latest flagship phone was not found in violation of patents. Motorola is currently suing Apple over a patent that would ban all Apple mobile devices from being sold in America. A Judge already ruled that Apple violated it but Apple has appealed. No matter who wins the case it's bad for consumers. Less competition = less innovation. Samsung will have an appeal very soon and we do not know what the outcome will be. The patent system in America is fucked up currently. Apple is awarded patents on stuff so simple a kid who just learned how to make a basic GUI could code.

IF they can make it for cheaper in another country they will
And I garentee cell phones are not made in USA or canada or the UK
People here its like $10 minimum wage
Out in china its about $4-5 or some shit Like yea cheaper means they make more profit

The economy isn't based on labor. It will hurt all consumers because there will be less choices. Patents were created to protect the consumer, not the company. It is very possible this will be overthrown just on the basis that it hurts the consumer. I hate Apple with a passion. The only enhancments in iOS 5 were stolen off of Android. Android has had the notification bar(Notification Center), Google Voice Search(Siri), tabbed browsing(New iOS browser). The only reason Apple is suing is because they are scared. Their products are inferior to Android smartphones in every way.
