We actually do have Technology News, but it goes along with Gaming News.

I chose world news because reading the world news seems to shock me on whats going on in this world. I get that feeling of when you learn something and just want to share it with someone immediately.

I have had quite some experience in the past with Writing for Group/User News. I would be a great addition to the team because I am always available and I am a hard worker. I am willing to put much time and dedication into being a writer if the offer is given.
