In England, Americans are stereotyped for being REALLY stupid. And most of them are (lol). I went to America for 5 weeks this summer, and the lack of common sense there really annoyed me. Americans are very friendly, nice people, but they have to be told everything.. There was an advert on TV there and it said "If you are hot this summer, turn on your fan"..WELL DUH!
Little things like that annoyed me, and sooo many Americans are obese. No wonder, with all the fast food restaurants there.

No doubt, our economy is doing bad. But really? Obama has done nothing to help our economy. He's added things worth BILLIONS of dollars, hes spending money we don't have. I know, "you need to spend money to get money", but Obama is making it "you need to spend money you don't have to get less money that you already don't have". And lol we buy from China/Japan.

It wasn't others who messed up Nick, it was just one person. That person was the last president, George Bush. The US was doing fine when Clinton was president. I'm not even a democrat. I'm rather conservative. I just hope that all states pass the law that requires a drug test to all people on welfare. That would help a little, not a lot.

When I was younger I adored George Bush (I was like 8-10?). I figured he couldn't do anything wrong. It's hard for me to admit but I guess he did make a mistake when we started going into a depression. But really now, you think Clinton had nothing to do with it? He did so much wrong lol. And I never heard of that law (i'm not big on news/politics) but that would be a great law.

Don't quote me on this but I heard that you have to have a certain amount of money to live in Australia can you confirm?

Not if you live there, but if you want to move there for a certain time you do. My brother is going there for half a year in a few months...I believe for 6 months living there you need $5000? So yes in a way you are right.

Lol judge us by our ads? They're all just gimicks which usually fail. And it depends where in America you are for brains and such. Some places are hillbilly town and others are some either normal or brilliant people.
And sorry, not mocking you or anything, but I believe U.K's eat REALLY fatty food.

Just so you don't take offence, my dad's side is British. What I've heard from the U.K. is mainly from my dad. And when I'm 18 or so I'm going to England for a few weeks . I live in the U.S. btw.

Our news channels here in Canada don't make Americans seem abnormal or special.. They just treat them normally.. Same cannot be said about other countries. I personally believe there are many Americans that are really really smart, but they are not given a chance, and they are just looked down upon because of the majority of idiots. As for the American president, he is no different from Bush.. Hired the same advisors, extended Bush's tax cuts, got America into another war, added new tax cuts.. Pretty much no different.
I really feel bad for those smart americans that have to live through all this, truly it is tragic... The education system is a total joke.. The prison system is a total joke, in fact the American justice system is worst than any country.. It pretty much encourages murder.. For example if you broke into someone's house and broke somethings, the owner saw you, and you assaulted and ran, if you get caught you get like 20 years.. Now if you kill that owner, you have a chance of not getting caught, and if you do get caught, you get 25 years.. Are you kidding me?
Kids pretty much think going to prison is normal now days because you are thrown into prison for every little thing.. From smoking pot to filming police officers.
As for the economic situation, nothing can be done.. This is Capitalism for you. Those that hate socialism, well sucks to say, but France & Canada are doing pretty well.

I'm pretty sure some of the people on here are few of those smart Americans that we rarely talk about.

More often than not immigrants take the jobs which US citizens do not want. e.g. Public Toilet Cleaner etc.
If they do take a better job i.e. a Doctor - It means that they would do it better than an American, thereby improving the countries healthcare.
