[ALERT] New Phisher (Skips Spam)

:shocked2: I was fucking surprised at how good these phishers are getting.

This one went straight to my inbox, and like most, I thought it was real. The link is not real (I dont know why I blotted out the end of it...). I fell for it but I changed all my info once I realized I'm a tool.

I really want to know how these phishers are getting my info and are almost getting my account

God, I have anything with the words "botting", "jagex", "player", "blizzard", "runescape", "warcraft" all sent to spam. If they're really emailing me, I'll already know (account disabled, in-game message, payment withdrawn from CC/paypal).

They are getting your email from posts, or sql injecting.

There are programs that all you have to do is enter in a website name and it searches the website for every sing email entered in the website.

Then ofc sql injecting to get inside the website's directory which has all the emails. (I'm pretty sure. Correct me if I'm wrong o.o)

The email was made in HTML, which is how there were pictures in it. Makes it look more legit.

Ya just don't trust any emails from jagex ever. They will message you through the in game mailbox if its important

I get at least 10 of these a day and I never even click on them.

I almost fell for it, I saw it and said to my freind "FUCK I'M BANNED " He was like, You sure? I always get those emails.

I was like "UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH DDDDD"

Don't ever follow a link you get in your inbox, just go to the RuneScape page and do it manually.

That's what I would normally do, but I was just checking my gmail and this just so happened to not be in spam like the others, so I thought this HAS to be legit, and I opened it and it looked legit. It wasn't until I noticed the link directed to "ruemscape.com" that I was kicking myself and gmail for not filtering it.

If you're dumb enough to fall for this, no offense OP, you shouldn't have an email.

JaGeX specifically says, 'We will not email you about your account, you will receive an in-game message.'

I clicked the link for 2 reasons:
1) Looked legit and DIDNT go to spam
2) Too lazy to check ingame
3) Gmail DIDNT filter it...
