The design is based off of another theme though.

"Based" is the new word for using (parts of) ripped themes ? The bottom half (stats and footer for start [including classes and content in global.css]) is ripped from Alphaboards theme and the upper part from FK theme (it's just a coincidence that you have the same class and content in global.css for welcomblock_panel ?).
