Many of you know that I left ForumKorner quite childishly, but, regardless, due to my new life.

I left for St. Louis to attend the The Art Institute of St. Louis to major in graphic design this past fall.  My good childhood friend of mine moved to St. Louis around the beginning of our sophomore year (10th grade for those of whom that are not of U.S. citizenship), and rather than paying out-of pocket for on-campus dorms, I had planned to move into my friend's house as then his mother would move out and in with her fiancee.

Well, fast forward to the end of August (when I left ForumKorner), I had successfully moved to St. Louis and into my friend's home. Now, I'm just going to speed things up here. After living in St. Louis for a brief two months, I had found out that my friend was heavily dealing marijuana. Now, I have no problem with marijuana nor anyone or anything of any relevance, this was just on a crazy level for a nineteen-year old kid. Basically, this kid was distributing pounds at a time and I had no idea how. Anyways, I wanted absolutely nothing to do with whole scheme and eventually left St. Louis and went back to Buttfuck Nowhere, Wisconsin. I was in no financial situation to live alone in St. Louis (although young @Jason, @Color and I could've lived together).

Days after returning to Wisconsin, I resumed my shitty life and got my shitty job back (line cook/chef at a local fine-dining restaurant). Months later I was hired for a second job as a barista at a nice coffee shop (derp).

Today, I quit my job as a cook (major source of income) and will now be fully relying on my photography studio (well, still a part-time barista for fun) to supply my life financially. I'm nineteen years old with no college education (yet.. we'll see how this all goes) and own my own business. I have two weddings booked for this summer and a handful or two senior portrait sessions lined up as well. All without proper advertising.

Many have asked and I haven't had the time to fully explain my situation.

That's my life story. Many of you could care less, but I'm proud so.. bang bang, motherfucker.

Welcome back? and good luck on your journey. Hope everything works out!

I currently use a D7200 and a D3200 as a back-up (so that I don't have to constantly swap lenses).

Nice! I've been wanting to get a nice DSLR but I'm poor. So I just keep taking Photography classes in school to get my hands on the DSLR's.

If you're short on cash, you can get a D3200 on Craigslist for like $250.00. I only paid like $265.00 for mine. It's a little bit of saving, but it's worth it for a beginner. The new point-and-shoots from Nikon (Coolpix P510/20/30, etc.) work well for what you pay. Although, it's not something you'd want long term, considering it's a fixed lens.

This is perfect for that section you're looking forward too.

Welcome back @Sector!

Imagine the money to be made if you stayed in St. Louis. Pounds at a time? That's pretty impressive for a 19 y/o, and I'm from Cali.
