A KV (keyvault) is a code on your xbox that allows it connect to xbox live. When banned on a retail console, you cannot unban it. When on an exploited console, you can (by putting a new KV on it). 


A bit more detail:
A keyvault is part of the NAND, it is required to sign each and every piece of content that goes through the system, e.g savegames, profiles, DLC (Although signed with LIVE and server check, it is still assigned to your console's keyvault).

Interesting, thats cool! Are all Xbox's "hackable"? or only to a certain firmware version?

We're kind of defeating the purpose of this member's thread -- but, oh well. It depends on the dashboard. That determines what exploit you can use.

If anyone's interested you can PM me on here if you're not comfortable talking on AIM. I'm really just trying to get rid of these since I sold my RGH. I'm just on AIM more so I thought it would be easier.
