I completed my first 3 mile jog without stopping. (This is my first attempted to) ;) I never even thought about jogging 3 miles but said "Hey, I'll jog 3 miles everyday for the next 6 years." So to that, my jog time was 29:32 for 3 miles. At first, I thought it was plain horrible. I then looked up Ranger's and Marine's times. Army runs 2 miles while Marines run 3 miles. To pass the 3 mile run, it must be under 21:00 in the Marines. I'm doing sprinting/running drills now. I will post a link below and a thread about this soon as well.

Just wanted to update everyone on my new achievement today.

P.S. I have asthma to. So this should have been hard but really wasn't haha :)

Good job dude. I'm in cross country and we do the 5k which is just a bit longer than three miles. MY record for a 5k is 16:51. So i'm guessing if I trained for a bit I would be able to pull off around a 16 min 3 mile. Keep working at it!

Nice! I have a fast twitch muscle. You should know what that is lol. Since I'm going into the military, I need to get my 3 mile below 18 minutes. That's my goal in 6 years before I go to Ranger school. It's very hard when you have a fast twitch and not a slow twitch muscle system.

I can do 3 miles in about 30 seconds.

Unfortunately thats not by foot, thats by car, haha.

I have no problem admitting that im not as healthy as I should be.

Damn. If you want to make the varsity soccer team at my school you need your 2 mile to be under 10 minutes.

I'm getting into better shape than I am. I'm in pretty good shape haha. Great muscles, legs, abs, the whole nine yards lol. But I need better cardio fast.

My idea of working out is lifting the joint from the ashtray to my mouth. Lol

I am taking a break from running, as my shoes broke. Now I just lift Monday-Friday.

Congrats! I can't run much because I have bad knees but it is great exercise. I am sure you will get your times down too! Good luck.

3 miles isn't overly far, atm I run probably the same distance every couple of days for swimming (stamina increasing basically). But it's surprisingly easy. Are you planning to run in the marathon or anything in the near future (didn't read all posts)? I'm currently hoping to make the London Marathon and complete it in reasonable time for a mental health charity.

Thanks for the correction. My cell isn't good for that. If you want to see what I look like, look through my threads at my picture threads. I posted many there. I swim about 1.5 miles daily and starting 3 miles daily to.

I laugh everytime I see that pic, rofl.

The look on his face, like he's totally disgusting with himself. Priceless.
