Letters are considered characters.

Characters consist of numbers and letters with that being said a three letter or three number tag are both technically characters.

When a site says your password must contain at least 8-20 characters they don't just mean numbers, letters too.

Characters include letters but letters do not include characters so @Random is correct

but, in the marketplace it's grouped differently. 

When someone has a three letter gamertag, they do not say "three char", It's just how it is.

if you say three character, it's meant that it has a number/other in it.

Learn marketplace terms please.

Yes it is understood as when you write characters in sales it is meant to have letters/numbers.

When I was taking a shit I wanted to explain to this guy that its not a OG, I know in "marketplace terms" a three character usually means letters/numbers in a alias (although if someone put a three character tag in the title and was selling a three letter tag its not like hes wrong, there is no codified "marketplace terms" he has to template his thread by). 

EDIT: After I said "Characters consist of numbers and letters with that being said a three letter or three number tag are both technically characters." You agreed with me by stating "but, in the marketplace it's grouped differently." So therefor I am right and your point is invalid.

So you think @random is correct about that letters do not include characters, when he stated it is grouped differently and is considered a marketplace term, implying letters include characters BUT in "marketplace terms" its not.
