General Introduction:
Welcome to The Empire Recruitment thread. We will be leaving this thread up for awhile to lower the amount of PM's I get asking to join the group. Members will be nominating applicants for further review from leadership. If you'd like to make it into the group, make sure you put a lot of effort into your application.

What is The Empire?
The Empire is a group of high quality members who will share knowledge throughout our sub-forum and with the rest of ForumKorner. We will mainly work within our sub-forum, however from time to time we will operate publicly to help enhance the site as best we can. All members are to be helpful, kind, and share knowledge with those that need it where they see fit. Members are expected to conduct themselves maturely across the forum, with no exceptions. We do not endorse or condone trolling or members who flame consistently. As a group we want to make a strong impact throughout the site, so if you can please wear the userbar or any group related images when you can. Members who are unable to preserve a positive image and reputation for our group will be kicked immediately without warning.

What are some skills that you have (Explain in depth with examples):
I can be very helpful to other members, I'm a good listener, and talker in my opinion, I also am a good learner. I speak my mind (Don't know if that can be good at some times) I'm also active on this forum.

What section are you most active in and why?
Gamertag Section because I really like looking at what people put up for sale, and the offers they get on the gamertag, I joined this site all because of gamertags, one day it popped in my head that I like "oG" gamertags so I was trying by myself to get one for my account, None were available so I searched on google to see if any were for sale, when I searched it some site called originalgamertag.com or something like that came up, it showed an enter button so I pressed it and it brought me to ForumKorner I made an account and from then I was looking for the perfect gamertag for me, until recently I found one.

Why do you want to join The Empire?:
Because this group is by-far the most HQ looking group in all of ForumKorner, and all the members seem respectful of each other, I also like how they help each other out, and back each other which seems like a nice change. Other groups are usually not like that, the members dont back each other up or anything, and half the other groups have really inactive subforums for their group, and no one is dedicated to the group itself, they just want the group bar under their name.

Why do you feel you should be accepted into The Empire?:
Because I have many good traits, like dedication, loyalty, respectfulness, activeness, I have more like good listener, good talker, etc. I also will be very active in the subforums like the other group members are being hopefully, and try to help out my group members as much as I can.

In one to three paragraphs, tell us a little bit about yourself or something memorable that happened in your life, what makes you who you are and who are you:When I was around 2-4 I was at home with my family. my dad was taking a video, it was just an old time sakes video for when we grow up, but in the video my dad was taking my brother gave me a bag of chips, and then walked away, 1 Minute later I have a pile of chips in my hand and am about to eat it he comes running at me and tackles me on the floor The chips went flying and instead of helping me up he takes the chips and walks away, while that was happening my dad was fucking laughing.. :/ Still have the video till this day.

What are some skills that you have (Explain in depth with examples):
I think the department that I most excel in would have to involve a substantial amount of learning. Ever since I have been put into situations like those, everything has clicked for me. I see and likely most others see success and experience to do more as only truly reachable with the readiness to apply yourself to the best of your ability from usually what is given. Failure to do that will almost always result in automatic failure in general for what you're going for. No skill is just acquired out of no where. Everyone has the chance to obtain anyone they want with the drive and motivation to obtain them. That's something we've all came to understand and is the same way how I became a learner over time. Currently, I'm a continuous A student with a B maybe every so often.

What section are you most active in and why?
Probably the marketplace which was my main focus and knowledge to bring along when I came here. I'm always educating whoever wants to know any certain criteria on the discussion, that's a decent amount I have seen. That all being said, I will admit that I'm not the greatest advocate of it all due to my absence of selling. Upon looking through my threads, you'd see. If I really wanted to become more of a seller at some point, I could, as it would only involve buying and re-selling like how the usual products are put up everyday. My second confession off of that is money was sort of an issue a while back, but recently things have turned around for me for the better.

Why do you want to join The Empire?:
I feel as though the direction this group is headed in is the right one. The giveaways which made that section wake up a little more was refreshing for a change to see. The layouts were decorated well when they didn't have to be and everything else I haven't listed just gave off a wonderful image in my opinion on the first day no less. Everyone is searching for that group with the sub-forum that's so alive that it is basically a conversation, and we all want to wear the best designed user bar to jump in on the image that is given off to all others, newcomers especially. Love to take a shot either way as well.

Why do you feel you should be accepted into The Empire?: Referring to may last few statements in the last question would partly answer this question, but furthermore I'd like to say that I have made a lot of an impact on this ever growing and young place since my arrival. Becoming apart of your group would just be a reflection of all that time I've put in aside from others.

Hello, my name is Scott. I'd like to introduce myself. I will start of by saying that I'm 16 years old living near the shore in Ocean County, New Jersey. Yes, right where Hurricane Sandy did the most devastation only a few months ago now. All of what I have done throughout my still beginnings of life has been humble and I plan on having it stay that way. I never take too much if any pride at all in what I do, pride is one of the seven deadly sins in case you were wondering. The world is just all one large pizza. Everyone crowds in pushing and shoving for different opportunities, or getting that first to third slice if you will. Me? I'm on the outer part, taking what I can get and making small incisions into the world. Most of the time, that is the way to go. Only a small incision is required from you to make a true statement out of everyone else. You would be surprised how far that would go with imagination and the common components like a lot of work and dedication of course. There you have it, my views which make me who I am.

Anything else you want to say: Nothing else of importance that I'm aware of. I'd like to thank you for giving all of us this chance to get in this marvelous group on our forum and introducing more members from other sites who have done their best to make it a better place.

well i like to play hockey. i have been playing hockey since i was 5 i am fairly good @ it. i play on 3 teams , play at least once a day and still manage to stay active on the forum. Also my freshmen year in hockey high school i was playing the second game of the season and the game was going great blah blah toward the end of the game a kid started shit with one of my friends and then said something to me and my friend and i charged after him and we beat his ass the benches cleared etc.. long story short got suspended for 5 games

What section are you most active in and why? Usually I click on the top and go on Misc. Then go to view todays posts so im basically active in every thread.

Why do you want to join The Empire?: Lots of HQ members on FK are in this group and some of my friends. So im getting the hint that is a very nice group.

Why do you feel you should be accepted into The Empire?: Im a very active member and have lots and lots of time on my hands. Im on FK every day for atleast 3-4 hours also I would like to be in a sweet group like this one. I also would do lots of private giveaway's for the group such as 1600 msp codes or sometimes even 3 character GTs

In one to three paragraphs, tell us a little bit about yourself or something memorable that happened in your life, what makes you who you are and who are you: Okay well my name is Jake and I love getting on ForumKorner for atleast 3 hours every day. I also like to play Halo and giveaway stuff in the contests and giveaway section.

Another thing about me is that I put ForumKorner before homework most of the time. So as you can tell ForumKorner is a big chunk of my time every week.

I am also the guy you can contact for basically anything. I am kind of the go to guy.

What are some skills that you have (Explain in depth with examples): I have some Graphics skills, I can do some web design (not a lot, though), I know some simple coding (batch and VB.net), and I am a great marketeer.

What section are you most active in and why? So far I'm active about everywhere. But I only joined yesterday (hope it doesn't effect my possibility of entering The Empire.), so I do it to try and see what type of people post where and how to get in contact with them. Other than that I post if there's a post needed.

Why do you want to join The Empire?: I want to join the empire because it will give me the opportunity to become more HQ and become a more welcomed member of the community around here.

Why do you feel you should be accepted into The Empire?: I feel I should be accepted into The Empire because with some of the skills I have combined with the other members would fit quite well, with us teaching and helping eachother. And at the moment I am working quite hard to become an active, high quality member of ForumKorner as I just recently joined.

In one to three paragraphs, tell us a little bit about yourself or something memorable that happened in your life, what makes you who you are and who are you: What really makes me who I am today is my recent years as a teen, from 7th grade up to 10th grade (present day). As back in 7th grade was when I first really found out about computers. I took a computer class and was taught how to code in batch, and using a program called "Simple." Ever since then, I have been interested in being a computer programmer and an educationalist about anything relating to the topic of computers, be it hardware, software, or the general understanding of how to work it.

Ever since the 9th grade (last year), I have gotten into Graphics. I took a 3D Animation class as a freshman for the first semester, to correlate with my decision of how to go up in life. So I learned how to make figures and objects in a program called "Rhinoceros 4.0" and form there on I learned how to animate them with a class I took this year. But, I also have taught myself in pretty good detail how to use "Photoshop CS6 Extended" and "Cinema 4D R13." I would provide some active graphics for this application, but as I am out of town at the moment I have none of the applications needed to do it.

And now, I have gotten more into buying and selling of goods or services on the internet. I have made an income greater than $5,000 in a three month time period, which is great for a 15 year old still in High School. But, I am still learning how to get better and I am getting into more advanced ways of earning revenue off the things I do. As YouTube, and sending links to people (PPC). I hope to teach and learn more about anything of the subject to the fellow members of The Empire if I get accepted.

Anything else you want to say: Another thing I'd like to say is that if I get accepted, I'd try even harder to remain HQ and active on this forum, as I am also a very active and HQ member of two other widely known forums, known by many members of this forum as well, though I try to keep them separate.


One more basic addition, I am planning to upgrade to Onyx, get the Donator award, and upgrade to Power after I feel I am appreciated around the forum.

Honestly i will say that i joined this forum about couples of days ago. But i am hq and active because i have got a lot of reps in less time span.

Well this will be my first group and i liked it's theme.

Because i am 100% HQ and dedicated person. I am bond from lf and have 450+ reps. I think i deserve for this group.

Why do you want to join The Empire?: Why wouldn't I? It's a great, HQ group. This is my chance and I'm taking it.

Why do you feel you should be accepted into The Empire?: You will not regret accepting me, I am a great graphic designer, and feel I would make a great, loyal group member.

In one to three paragraphs, tell us a little bit about yourself or something memorable that happened in your life, what makes you who you are and who are you: In Fall of 1997, I left home and went to college. I found a core group of friends who likewise embraced the geek stigmata. My not-quite-coincidence, my HS girlfriend went to the same college. We lasted until the end of freshman year. I joined clubs and activities and excelled in most of my classes, pursuing a degree in Computer Science. Two more girlfriends came and went along the way. The core group of friends had some fluctuations with departures and arrivals, but remained my primary source of enjoyment of my college years. In May 2001, I graduated with my Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science, and began working on my Master's. To pay for grad school, I began teaching a 200-level course at the school. By 2003, it was apparent that I was far more interested in teaching and enjoying the college lifestyle than in actually getting the Master's Degree. The school and I "mutually agreed" to terminate my relationship with them. I became employed at a very small web-development firm for what was supposed to be a short-term internship while I looked for something better. Momentum and Inertia, my constant foes, worked against me and I stayed in that job for nearly 2 years.
Around this time, two friends from that core group from college invited me to Walt Disney World, as thanks for being their best man at their wedding. Thus began an obsession that continues to this day. I finally escaped the pull of inertia, and went to a higher paying job with an international banking corporation as a software engineer, at aproximately 175% my web-deveoper salary, plus full benefits. Nearly simultaneously, I was contacted by my old college, and asked if I'd like to return in the role of an Adjunct Faculty member, to again teach the course I'd taught while a grad student. I've remained in both jobs to this day. My days are consumed by the two jobs, reading, television, hanging out with the remainders of the core group of friends, and of course, planning the next Walt Disney World trip. :)

I have had a pretty weird life, I should be emo but I truly don't give a shit what people think so I just don't give a fuck. I just smoke weed because weed is the greatest thing to ever be discovered, greater than electricity. #FuckYouBenFranklin Yea lol thats me. :)
