For me I would have to say PHPBB, don't mind as much the layout or the use of it as a user but as an admin I think it's awful especially the adding in of mods, still so many edits with PHPBB

I don't have any ads on my forum at the moment no apart from affiliate banners at the bottom of the forums. I have thought about adding in google adsense but still undecided, I once had it on a previous forum I had and it never affected the amount of users on the site.

I myself do manual backups on a daily basis to be honest, can never rely on manual atleast if you do it yourself you know it has gone through ok and you are sure you have the backup if anything goes wrong.

I used to be into crosswords myself and I remember a few years ago a friend I have over in the US would play word games and crosswords with me online :) used to be lots of fun. Things like crosswords will never die out.
