I just made two DVD's for a friend and when I was testing them on my Xbox, together, they both had results ranging from completely undetected to partially inadequate.
This is what the first DVD+R DL disc contains;
and the second DVD+R DL disc contains the following;
Here's the problem. When I put each disc into my Xbox's drive, one at a time, neither were detected. At first I thought it had something to do with a file type that the Xbox couldn't read but the only file type on both discs is AVI. I've never had a problem reading AVI's on DVD+R discs before but I can't remember if I ever had a problem playing AVI's on DVD+R DL discs on my Xbox 360 before and quite frankly, I'm not willing to waste a disc just to find out.
Another thing that I think is worth mentioning is that I once sold a friend the complete series for Seinfeld, which I burned onto several DVD+R DL discs. The episodes were all in AVI format as well. He said he didn't have a problem playing them on his Xbox 360.
So now, I'm confused between two possible issues;
OR
I called Xbox's customer support and they said that its most likely the first possible issue and recommended me to just re-burn the contents of the DVD+R DL discs onto DVD+R discs. He also took the time to thank me for notifying him about this slip-up because it was the first time he'd heard about it and reassured me that he'd have some troubleshooting done.
So, unless anyone has any other suggestions, here's what I think I'll do for the time being. I'm going to sell the guy the two DVD+R DL discs I burned for the price we agreed on. If it pleases him and I don't hear back from him with any issues, I'll know it's my godforsaken flashed drive that finally needs to be replaced at my mod-shop. If he comes crying back, I'll just put everything on the DVD+R discs (fucking waste of DVD's, not to mention).
Are there any objections? :nice:

So now, I'm confused between two possible issues;
- It could be because the Xbox 360 doesn't have the firmware in it's drive to read either of the layers on the DL disc
OR
- It could be because I have a flashed firmware and something just went wrong, plain and simple.
