X-Ray in CS4?

Just wondering if anyone knows how to make things (clothes etc) see-through in PS CS4?

If anyone could link me to a tutorial that would be great

I have but they all say stuff like 'now just play with the levels'

I am but it just goes too bright/too dark.

did you try using the colour replace tool? just change it to the background colour?
