Doctor, you probably already know but I would not trust any in game proof.

I can and have had the opportunity to easily scam people with original Minecraft account names.

There are plugins that can change your in-game name, change name above head, and you could do that without the player even joining your server.

The only proof I would trust is proof of them signing in on 'Minecraft.net'
