Would McDonalds Hire me

I live in Michigan, and there is a McDonalds literally 4 to 5 houses away from my house. I'm 14 years old, but If I got my Work Permit from my School do you think with lots of persuasion (Like saying how I live close, and I have my own transportation), That they will consider hiring me?

If I'm not mistaken, I can only work 12 hours a week while still in school and/or under 18.

All replies are greatly appreciated!

They would rather hire a 18 year old HS dropout.

I don't think they would hire a dropout, even if it's just a fast food joint...But thanks for the reply.
 

You need to take a hard look at our current economic status, maybe when you're older you will understand.

There's a lot more behind the "age limit" to work.

No, you wont get a job there. I live in Michigan too and if you walk into any McDonalds, you will see 30+ year olds working there. The economy is tough and McDonalds knows it so they take advantage of it. They raised their standards and would rather take a 30 year old with 5 years of work experience than someone who just gets out of highschool.

In Australia, they hire 15-16 year olds to pay the cheapest wages.
 
I doubt Mcdonalds would stoop as low as to hire someone like you.

Although it's a shit place to work, you haven't a chance, child.
 
Hmm, glad I live in Canada. McDonalds is for all the faggots. People in highschool who can't get a decent job go there.

The economy isnt doing too great here. There aren't a lot of jobs and McDonalds knows it. They know there are people with more work experience than a teenager that are willing to work at McDonalds.
 

Yea that's wat happens near me fast food people hire younger people for cheapest wagers
 
Living close and being able to get there wouldn't help your cause, but they might hire you because they don't have to pay you as much, as what Touche said.

In the Fast food indrustry, they pay based on what job you have. They won't pay one cashier $20 an hour and then pay another cashier $10 an hour. They don't pay you any less or more because of age. There is somethig called Minimun Wage. Like I said before, in US, well atleast Michigan, there are people in their 30s that are willing to work at McDonalds due to the tough economy. So unless they get really desperate they won't hire someone who is 16 with no experience.

No offense to any, but OP, only listen to people who live in US. Also, what part of Michigan do you live in?

Why do you even need to work? Or want to work. You don't need too, you still live with your parents and they pay everything for you. If want money, then I'd say make like muffins or things like that and sell them.
