Would M$ Lurk?

I've been wondering this for a while, people love to claim that Microsoft comes on this forum + HackForums, and actually checks to see what gamertags are being passed around so they can ban them.

I highly doubt this, but I'd like to know your opinions. It makes no sense for M$ to REGISTER on these forums. I'm sure they know we are here, but they wouldn't even be able to use the proof of a picture anyways.

No they wouldn't waste there time lurking... They will just go on peoples friendslist and ban everyone.

There have been some members of the Xbox Support Staff that registered on forums. It's highly possible.

I've seen a number of complaints about us and HF to their forums, no one is to say they haven't checked for themselves and continue to because the IP's aren't monitored.

Some of the banning situations in the past have made it seem like this as well.

Yeah but that's hard to believe Salvation, don't forget they ban in ban waves, so it could make it look like anything is possible.

I believe they do lurk around on these forums and on other forums. I cannot really think of any other explanation as to why certain tags get banned when they are being sold. I doubt 100% of the tags that got banned whilst being sold were solely due to a MS Employee lurking, but I do think at least some of the tags were banned because of that.

Well I think a good thing to remember is that in http://forums.xbox.com/xbox_forums/xbox_support/f/2366.aspx
you will see a SHIT load of accounts that have been console banned for just selling gamertags.... Not just OG ones.
