I will give Wizard Robe (g) top and bottom to whoever can answer the following question:

What is the most commonly used electrical current for welding in the Unite States?
The abriviation for this Type of current is FOUR letters long.

the Answer Was: DCEP - Direct Current Electrode Positive
Life won the robes!

i think alternating at 60Hz

or 240 volts AC

Well, You guessed a current, and it would be right if I would have said for Welding Aluminum with a TIG machine or open roots with 7018 in europe.
Good guess though.

You guys are guessing processes, well AnX is on currents, but not on the right one.
I'll put a hint in OP.

i fixed my post

that sounds like a google answer, and AC is alternating current which AnX already guessed lol.
and IDk wtf your welding with 240 volts.

im guessing AC or DC

DC is on the right track, I want the full thing though not the abriviation. I want what it means ;)

Too bad I am from Canada, and know nothing about the states.

By DC, are you refering to Direct Current, and the Half-Wave rectification or Full Wave Rectification?

Let me know

Also HVDC - High-voltage direct current

HVDC -
High-voltage direct current

I'm right, right?

Good job OP, Ditching the thread now.. lol..
Better not be a troll thread :'(

Nope. Its direct current but you guys are talking more like electrician stuff.
I want the answer for welding
Direct Curent ____ ____
Is the answer.
