I'm getting all four of my wisdom teeth taken out Wednesday morning and I'm pretty nervous. My sister did the same today and she's out cold, been sleeping all day. She was a mess. Bleeding everywhere and all drugged up.

Any tips and suggestions on how to make the whole process more bearable, that being, from the people that have done it already?

Updated: I did it. I just woke up from a 5 hour nap. It doesn't hurt that bad. I took my painkillers and meds once and I'm applying ice for 10 min once in a while and it's really not that bad.
 
Well you get a lot of drugs usually so pain really isn't anything to worry about, I just kept cotton balls in my mouth so I was bleeding all over the place for a while.

Ya but you can only take the drugs every so often. It's not like you can pop an Ibuprofen every time you feel pain.
 
So why are you getting them out?
Idk I have not gotten them out yet and Idk why you would wanna pull teeth

Most people need to get them removed because by the time your wisdom teeth start coming out of your gum (usually throughout early adolescence) your mouth doesn't have enough room to support them. If you don't take them out and you need to, they will forcefully push all of your other teeth and that will cause tremendous pain.

I'm not surprised you've never done it before but I'm surprised you haven't heard of people doing this before. You can easily look it up.
 

Ibuprofen? Pffft I had vicoden :thumbsup:

Well he told me to take the vicoden every 4 hours or when I felt pain, so I was basically buzzin for like 4 days straight lol

Well because I'm getting put asleep and all four of the teeth I'm removing all still completely covered by my gums, it's a bit steeper than usual. Its costing me 1540$ but my dental insurance plan is covering 75-80% of it.

My best friend's girlfriend did it a month ago and had her insurance cover 100%.

And how do I apply the hot water and soap to reduce the swelling? I don't understand.
 
I haven't had mine out, so I don't know.
From what I've read, you'll bleed a lot.

Also, not everyone's wisdom teeth "grow" as to say.
 
Mine are still growing,the growing also hurts like fuck all my flesh was pushed aside awul . Good luck!

You might want to get that looked at.
 
Why? Now it doesn't hurt anymore it did hurt when it pushed it self up.

If it's pushed up then your other teeth are fucked.
