I currently run Windows 7, and I kind of want Windows 8, despite the shitty reviews. I need a working link to download Windows 8 for free. No trials and shit.

You won't find a direct download link and even then you need a working serial. I suggest searching TPB for Win8 and Cracker/Keygen or just buy Win8 for $40.

Must be your computer, I used to run Win7 and loved it. I now run Win8 and there's no difference except the metro UI which is optional.

Its going to get better, but certain programs can't run on Windows 8 that I would like to use
