Notes about installing the Windows 8 Developer Preview
A clean install is supported on all builds, but you can upgrade if you are installing a download without the developer tools. You will receive the full set of migration options when setup is launched in Windows. To dual-boot, you must first boot from media and choose an alternative partition.

If you plan to install with Developer tools, you will have use a clean install, otherwise you can keep accounts, files, and settings on Win Vista and Seven, or just keep accounts and files on WinXP.

Be advised, Windows 8 sucks. It was a poor attempt to make a computer operating system as easy and similar as a tablet operating system.
 
Your right, its horrific.
Its just like the Windows7 Phones, lots of cubes that do nothing that you want them to.
I honestly prefer Mac to this, and thats lot coming from me.

Im going to spend a few days sorting this out.

Oh this is just horrible, going to reinstall Win 7 now!

Lol Windows releases something good then something bad. It's a pattern. Win9 shall be amazing :3
 
Oh dear, i was stuck for ages trying to figure out how to eject my CD, non my of keyboard function keys work.
Had to manually eject from CMD
Found that i could just right click the disk in Computer and hit eject but getting to Computer is so hard in Win8.

Out with Win8, in with Win7 & Linux

Win7 Phones are great mine does exactly what its told and when its told i will never have any other phone!
 
I guess it would take some time to get used to.
Windows8 should be great for you deadly then

Id prefer it if they stopped focusing on looks and more on functionality.
The Win7 GUI is slick enough and doesnt need an update.
 
yer il download tonight and tret it out but by the way you describe it it would be better with a touchscreen monitor
 
Yer and make sure you make a partition and install it on that.
I wasnt too bothered about going over Win7 but After reinstalling I lost all my drivers.
 
Windows 8 was pretty decent when I went on it. Was alright. I mastered my way around and yeah
Touch screen is the only way to enjoy it
 
Yeah Windows Phone isn't bad but i prefer android, anyway I think W8 sucks I'd put it on a not-used computer in my house but it's stupid.
 
i got sidetracked and i cant leave my rig on over night caus i cant sleep with it on the fan bearings have gone but i might download it during the day sometime
