I like smoking te weeds, it gives me super powers....

Seriously though, I don't get why people don't smoke...

I know it's bad for your health etc. but im the type of guy that will try most things (within reason) at least once, whether it be smoking weed, wakeboarding, sky diving, playing golf etc because I want to live my life to the full and don't want to be deprived of new experiances...to be honest that would be a terrible waste of a life IMO

Obviusly weed is relativley harmless (compred to alcohol etc) so I don't understand the people that are so dead against it, they won't even try it!

I totally understand if you tried it, and hated it, but if you haven't tried it why knock it? Before people say it's bad for you or it's illegal, please stop and ask yourself why you drank when you were under age and still drink now...

I just want to know why people miss out on this awesome plant

You know my little brother is like you he wants to try everything. One day he tole me that he has been smoking for a while and wanted me to try it. So I did and it's not all it's cracked up to be. I am not saying don't try it. I'm saying they glamorize it too much like cigs.
 
Legokiba, the effect varies with different people but I do agree, it is portrayed to have the effects of LSD sometimes.
What you, News, don't seem to know is that most people have tried it actually but the reason one might not try it is because it is not useful. It makes people lazy which is the biggest con to me and it can be very psychologically addictive to some. Others might not risk getting schizophrenia for a stupid smoke even though the risk is not big. The part I don't like is that it demotivates you. It is also expensive. May I ask you if you have tried LSD, DMT, amphetamine, shrooms, MDMA, E and if your answer is no, why not? Are you planning on trying any of those or other types of drugs in the future?
 
Even if the effects on your health are minimal, the hype the government has created around it and made everyone who does smoke it look like a social reject/piece of trash has made society form a biased opinion on marijuana.
 
I'd like to try it but I struggle to find a supplier etc and a discreet way to smoke it.
 
I just really want to see if cannabis can calm my tourettes and I also want to try programming on cannabis XD. My brother smokes weed, so I might be able to get some from him...

Tell me where you live (country, state, city & a big city close to yours), PM if uncomfortable posting openly here and I might be able to help you.
A good way to smoke it is just to go out to the woods with some friends and keep the weed there, where it won't get wet.

I might be able to help people with the locations, estimate prices, brands and quality. In most places you will need to know a smoker or dealer to get a hold of it. Other than that asking around amongst either students or typical bikers and fishy people who will most likely rip you off.
 

True plus another thing. I have never gotten high off weed and I have smoked out of a bong and joint I have tried so many times I don't even want to smoke anymore besides it made my throat burn like a bitch and it tasted like shit. My brother has also quit because we just thought it was going to be this super cool thing that you would be so happy doing it wasn't. You guys can try it out by yourselves. Wish the best to you. Also to the guy who needs away to smoke discreetly I would say go to a forest it's where I went.
 

Thanks very much and sorry for the late reply, I forgot about this thread. I'm in the UK so, I think I may be able to get a supplier, I'll probably try it in the Easter break so I can smoke without anyone finding out.
 
That's good, if you just carry around a little you will only get warned if caught by police as long as you aren't cocky. You can buy around the universities, if you live in London then check anywhere in the center.
Cold harbour lane and Camden high street you might get ripped off but many streetsellers. Kings Cross, Brick Lane, Soho, Camden Town, Brixton and Ladbroke Grove and ask the stall holders in the markets. They know someone who knows someone etc. £20 for an eighth. Buy weed, not hash! Or if there is any event or festival there will be some dealers, you might see them or smell it. Ehm.. I don't know your city and I don't know if there is anything more to say, ask if needed. I had a feeling you were from UK when I wrote that first post.
 

Thanks very much, that's some good information there, I'm going to try and get hooked up with some before the Easter break, I'll try using the trick with the cardboard tube at dryer sheets. I'll probably smoke it outside though, I'd rather not risk it. How long do the visual effects of the high last? I'll have around 8 hours to myself, so.
 
Depends on quality and amount, I'd say around 3 hours for you after a few couple hits from the bong, 2 or 3. For some it takes 40 minutes, for some 4 hours but the effect is usually bigger when starting. I think it's around 1-1.5 hours for most people though and you won't get good weed I'm sure. I don't know how much you plan on taking, I'm assuming 0.5 - 1 gram spliff or bong. But I mean, you can be decently high and act normal. It's not like you're drunk.
