i have a friend of mine who have all the cpa ,acca and b.com but most of the time he does not get job offers after interview .why do experienced individuals get turned away for jobs lower than there skill level?

as we all know this the generation of competition.....most of the people are educated now.....and everyone starts searching jobs....thus manpower is more and opportunities are less....

it could be because the experienced people are worth more, so the company will have to pay them more. an inexperienced worker isn't worth much yet so the boss can get away with paying them a minimal amount.

To me, and probably most of the bosses to, they would prefer someone with 10 years of experience and went only for high school rather than a guy with no experience and went to university.

The problem is that you can pay the minimum to a guy with no experience, buy the same thing can't happen with a guy with 10 years of experience.

They often get tired away because the employers feel that they would have to pay these individuals more than other applicants. It really sucks for those of us that are over qualified for the positions that are available now of days.

Nowadays, people should be more competitive in their field . Most of employers accept those people who have lots of experience in that field. They prefer this people because they can check if this person really fits in this job. I didn't agree on that. I think employers should consider those people to prove that they can really do that task.
