Dire Straits, because their songs are relevant, lyrics meaningful and their songs all have a certain pace. Its basically rock everyone can relate to.

To me the best rock band is probably AD/DC. They where praticly the ones that defined rock as you know him today (in my opinion).

Well my favorite are no doubt linkin park, I love their music and their songs are thought provoking too. My favorite LP tracks are In the End, Breaking the habit and Numb.
