Which should I level first for PKing?

So I am currently level 78 combat

62 defense...

62 Magic

58 Ranged

I am going to do soul wars, while fighting with and leveling defense.

However I will use ALL of my zeal points on either Magic or Ranged to work at getting it to 99.

My question is, which skill should I get to 99 first? Ranged or Magic?

I will be mostly PKing in the wildy!

Thoughts and opinions please?

You can start pking effectively straight away with ranged, mage is more of an accompanying skill, so I'd go for ranged.

You should consider 70 defense too.

Max out at 70 defense, get 99 range first then 94 magic , do the quest for vengeance and have fun.

Yep, I am going to be leveling Defense while in soul wars.
I will just be spending my zeals on either range or magic

And what do you mean you can pk straight away with magic once it is higher just as easily cant you?

and once free trade comes out and I can get more $$ I will level magic to 94 super quick with High Alch, at least if I can find a way of getting some good $$ on RS

Yeah i would say that you use the zeals on range.

Yeah, it just makes sense to do that.
Magic you can level much quicker than ranged, if you just have some cash

Id get that 70 defense. Then level up range and mage alot. if that becomes too expensive do strength

Yea Get 70 Def And Rais Ur Range And Get 94 magic when you are higher level. then u gonna pwn melee read my guide.

Update:

My Defense is now 65

Range is now 65

Mage is still 62, I will work on it come free trade as I am very poor (I can't afford all those nature runes yet)

I have gotten my Def. and Range up a lot higher than they were

Def. n Range are 66 now
