I don't think it's as simple as that. First of all, everyone has their own definition of 'good looking' and 'ugly'. So perhaps to you, the person is 'ugly', but to another party, the person is 'good looking'. What I'm saying is that everyone has their own tastes.
If you're talking about whether looks or money are more important, I'd say that as well depends on the person. Certain people develop bad character when they have too much of something. I personally can't stand guys who flaunt their money around or resort to money when they can't come up with a solution. However, I also can't stand guys who think they can get anything they want because of looks.
I don't need money so it doesn't matter to me if the guy is rich or poor. I can earn my own way in life. However, if a couple is thinking about kids and starting a family, of course you would want some assurance and security.
So what EXACTLY is the condition of the question? Is it that you know both of the people or simply based off sight? If you know both the people, I would think you'd choose the person you get along with and like more. If just based off sight, of course most people would choose the person that is good looking. It's human nature to be attracted to beautiful things.
However, the rich ugly person could always go for plastic surgery so...haha.
