We all believe that our parents gave us our names because it has a meaning or there is a story behind it.

According to my parents my name Glen was derived from a valley, typically one that is long, deep, and often glacially U-shaped; or one with a watercourse running through such a valley, so we can say a deep valley in the Highlands" that is "narrower than a strath."

What about your name? can you share something here? I believe every person has their own meaning of their names....
 
My name REY means, KING. When I was born, Kings and Queens are very popular. That is why they have named me REY, because the meaning of it is KING. I want to be king in my own little way.
 
Hello there Glen! My name "Floraine Mae". According to my parents, it means flowers in the rains of May. I so love it because it is so girly. I think they based it also from my grandmas name which is "Flora", meaning flower. :Laugh:

i dont know is the meaning of my name..my name is arnelia..my older sister is amelia ang my brother is arnel...maybe my name has no meaning except there is ryme in our names lol
 
My real name was taken from the book of methology. She is the goddess of wisdom. Before i didnt really like it but when I found out about her character I feel that we are the same. I like it now.
 
Well, I have a long name - Marie Angelique. My mom explained to me that when she got pregnant of me, she became so inspired of Angels, the messengers of God. That's why she named me as such that means "Angel of Mary".

Angel of Mary, so sweet meaning of your name. MOst people even don't know what is the meaning of their names but we must have to know, am I right?
