Whats the best way to secure the tag.

If you already swapped it to a new account, then you should be fine. Just delete the old account of your console.

I just change the email and password. I always make sure the email comes with the account I'm buying.

Or

If its just the GT, I have the seller swap it to a fresh silver then they give me all of its information. Then I swap to my account a few days later.
