Whats a license transfer?

The title sats it all what is a license transfer and what is it used for? never had to do one so idk =/

It's so you can download the games on the account you transfer.

so if i buy a account that has minecraft, gta4, cs-go etc i have to buy a license transfer too or i cant play them?

You can use the content on any console as long as you sign in using the gamertag you used to purchase the content and you are connected to XBOX Live.

The license transfer process only transfers the license tagged to the console id so other profiles can use it. i guess the link below explains it all.

If you transferred the license from XBOX 1 to XBOX 2. the license is no longer in XBOX 1's console ID so only the gamertag who purchased it can play it online on XBOX 1.
