In Halo you are given a rank that determines your skill, in CoD you just level up. Anyone can learn the basics of it and occasionally get killstreaks but there is a big difference in what an average player considers good, and someone with a 3+KD would consider good.
Chronos said:In Halo, everything is given to everyone at the start. You can use whatevers on the map to your own advantage. Being good in Halo requires map control, timing, precision aiming, movement, etc. In CoD, it's who's using the most OP gun when you turn the corners and who pulls the trigger for 2 seconds first.

Halo has less bullshit but isn't any easier/harder than CoD.
Everything you listed that requires you to be good at Halo you need in CoD too. The only difference is that there isn't an actual way to determine skill in CoD, and in Halo there is.
Chronos said:As I said, in Halo, everything is available to everyone, so map control and everything else is harder while in CoD playing more will get you access to better weapons + perks, like by ranking up you unlock perks that help you move faster, or some that completely remove you off the map and from the targets of killstreaks (which are also OP), and weapons that do extreme amounts of damage.
Noah said:Solid point. I'm not going to argue about which takes more skill lol.
My opinion though is that people either play CoD to mess around, or tryhard. Same with Halo. The difference is though that good players can get matched with bad players.
Can you imagine how much people would hate halo if people that just got the game were matched against 50's that hit people off every game?
Chronos said:Not sure if sarcasm or serious;
Noah said:I don't see whats confusing about that. I said the difference between Halo and CoD is the skill level of players you get matched up against. I'm referring to Halo 3 since that is the more praised Halo, and in that game you get matched against players around your level. Halo would be bad if good players got matched against bad players. I've literally never played Reach so if I'm sounding stupid because of that forgive me.
