What programming language do you think is the most efficent?

Hey,

So I have been thinking a lot and I was wondering what programming language some people think is the most efficient, for me it would be c++ as it is very powerful and a lot can be done with it, it would be binary as you can do the most with it but it would take a really long time to do everything.

Assembly has also come up in my mind but again, the code gets down to the grit of things making it longer to type therefore in my eyes being inefficient.

So what is the most efficient programming language to you?

PowerBuilder uses C++ and C#

The most efficient I would say would have to be Java. It runs on almost all platforms.

Very basic I know.

All I really know is C++ and I know they use this for a lot of games like Diablo 3. I will be using C next semester for programming processors though.

If that was the case then Java would be it hands down as it can run on any OS and it's relatively simple to learn.
