I personally go on this forum just pass up time when I'm home, I do like it here, I don't think about it all day, I'm not addicted, I'm Not and could never be emotional attached to anyone here like most of you are..

Anyway, I always see people leaving over drama on this site or rl issues or what not, and they always come back 2 days later.

I see a lot of you here have like a massive emotional attachment to this site.. and to members here, I'm not saying to be a dick or not nice but this isn't real life, don't treat it as such.

And with these new groups, for me personally it makes it entertaining watching everyone get all personal and upset about it all, and really..? it's just groups.

Didn't mean to sound like a prick or anything just felt like saying this.

Discuss.

I think I'm the same as you then, this is just an internet forum for me nothing more.

Maybe some people have made relationships on these forums, perhaps they've been friends for over a year and now they're saying good-bye unexpected and that could be the last they hear of them. They may come back two days later as you said, but they may not, they're saying good-bye like they're not going to speak to them again.

Yeah, it is just a forum on the internet, but, everyone here is a REAL person.
It's not like we're just mindlessly talking to a bunch of robots.

Im not going to lie, I've made mates here, but its nothing serious, this is the internet, and thats all it'll ever be to me.

Life > Online mates.

I mean like I'm all for having mates on here, I do understand that, but it's just that some people treat everyone here as their real life friend lol.
Or they have a mindset that what ever they do on this forum effects them in real life

OP, you posted the topic I didn't have the balls to post. Props.

Ya the whole group drama was pretty funny, especially when Runescape and Inxy announced they were leaving, and everyone was trying to act so mature and HQ because they wanted to be the new leaders lol

LMAO! I wasn't online for 2 days and came on to see the Omega group and such, thought it was good as.

I'll pm you with a really funny thread of people faking HQ to try and be the new leaders, I got a real good kick out of it

It doesn't matter if this is real life or not.
Also, have you ever been in a class at school and had a good conversation with someone, but only when you're in that class?
That's how it is here.

For instance, everyday I talk to the same people on Skype and we always play LoL.
It turns out (We knew when we first played) that he lives right next to me. We would never hang out, but we still talk like friends when we're online.

many people live on the internet. they move from forum to forum and make that forum their house.
stupid no-lifers

Lol okay send it to me

Seems to be the case for some people.

I have developed friendships online, but nothing that is altering my life.

I met up with a group of guys about 3 years ago on Xbox Live, and we have been gaming together since. We all have personal lives, and we all have our gaming time.

With this forum, I am not addicted, it's just the place I go when I am FireFox. I have developed a habit of going here and posting while doing other things.

I personally enjoy it here, but I am not going to be pulling no "I AM LEAVING BUT NOW I AM BACK" kind of thing. I will leave when I leave, but for now, I am here to stay.

Yeah, I see what your point is, and I see that you are being firm and not inappropriate about the situation.
I come here for the fun, and to meet new people.
Posting on forums is something that I've been doing for years, and I don't want to stop anytime soon.
This is a great way to develop myself, and it's a great way for communication and learning.
I like seeing people dedicated to this forum because it keeps the forum alive.
Some people just draw the line though, yep.

Yep I agree with both of you.

I agree, everyone is starting to get competitive and feel like they are worth more than one another.
