Well, here's the story.
I went to Google and decided to look up "How to swap a Gamertag" just for fun. After doing so, I came across this page, as it was the first result:

In short, after reading all of the details, it seems like all you need to do in order to swap your gamertag onto a fresh silver is switch it to another Microsoft account. Therefore, there would be no use for turboing anymore.
Although, this seems way too obvious to just stumble across in less than 30 seeconds. Does anyone know anything about this?
