what is importantance of festival to you?

We are from India where there are many festivals celebrate by people but now a days there is less crush and excitement of festival because everything's price is going up and people can not make both end meets and now people use to rest on festivals rather than go to relatives home what do you think?

In our country,there is different different occasion every month,but what i like most is October Fiest(fiesta)which is all barangay of our province has their own food to share,there is also mardigra's a night,that is one week celebration and we have one day that is the final,too much food to eat like crab and shrimp etc.

Yeah you're right, prices are getting higher during festivities..
And producers of goods cling to the opportunity to earn more because of higher demands..
Here in the Philippines, we are finding ways to get rid of those issues during festivals, com. celebration, etc.
Get back to basic! Stick to the tradition! You could buy things if you won't buy any souvenirs that are not related on the theme of the festivities.. Example, you buy necklace during a saint's feast, the alternative way is to bring your Rosary and pray.. It's the best souvenir..
And anyway, you are with your family, enjoy each others company..
