Who knows lol, I have only spent 1600 msp in the last like year so I won't be mad. I think that everyone on these forums would get a tag on there that they like if they do reset.
They won't. They know their customers go by certain names and it'd piss them off if tags with high tenures were just tossed out. That would also mean there by being a chance of banned members returning; they won't take any big steps like this since they're mentally handicapped.
They cant do that. It is mandatory for Microsoft to keep inactive gamertags for at least 7 years before they are recycled. Just in case the owner comes back. So resetting them al at once would probably cause lawsuits.
How would they reset banned tags ?. LMFAO that makes no sense. It's gonna be the same system as the 360. You just recover your account. They can't change it. From the OG xbox to the 360, All you did was recover your account, So from 360 to 720 you recover your acct. If anything they might reset some V1's, But they can't reset banned tags or inactive silvers.
The reason v1s exist was that those aren't associated with a WLID. Now that the WLID system is in place, it wouldn't make sense for all tags to be stuck as a v2, and us be forced to make v3s. Those who had prepaid XBL/MSP would lose the ability to use this, and there would be lawsuits thrown around.
