What has happened to Power+

So lately I've seen quite a few users with power+ that I honestly don't understand why they have it. I waited for a long time to meet the set requirements that Philly had in place, but at the time I didn't feel it is necessary. I thought that Power+ was supposed to be at least semi- exclusive, have the old requirements been removed? If so, why? I remember when there were barely any users in Power+ ( all 2012 or earlier users ), does this mean that Power+ is now just a general membership like the rest, anybody can join? Has anybody even been " denied " for power+?
 
I have seen a member or two be denied for P+. I also had to meet all the requirements to join, but I don't see anything wrong with it at the current moment. It's just like any other upgrade to be honest.

When there are users who don't even meet half the requirements that were put into place by Philly I feel there's something wrong. I may be old fashioned, but Power+ was not something that was meant to be just like any other upgrade. It was something to aspire for, just like some of the member owned groups used to be for me.
 

ForumKorner is expanding daily, people are purchasing it daily. I think this is the reason why you think it is decreasing in value and I do not mean that financial wise. I am beginning to think that it's because of the number of people purchasing it. Maybe disallow purchases for Power+ with Koins, raise the price, etc.
 
I'm waiting til my 1 year anniversary for me to upgrade to P+.
 
I don't think you're understanding, I have no issue with users having Power+. My issue is that users have power+ when they don't even meet the requirements Philly had put into place. More users that have power+ is great, but if it's going to be treated like a normal group with no requirements why is it not incorporated into the group membership page. Power+ cannot be purchased with koins already, it is a money only upgrade but that does not increase how exclusive it is, just makes you spend actual money instead of koins. I do not think that because there are new members joining and upgrading and becoming trusted in their own way is decreasing the value of power+, like I have stated before I feel it's the users who buy it but don't meet the requirements that make it just another regular paid membership and not what it was introduced as.
 

Ah, I apologise brother. I misread most of what you said! I agree with you there but I have personally purchased it with Koins for other members. It should be treated as an admirable and inspiring group, yes.
 
Basically what e is saying, is that he doesn't have a problem with people being in Power+, he just wants it to be something special, that only the pure, dedicated members can earn. Not something you can get for donating a certain amount, or anything else, and the only way you can get it is by the staff choosing (not a bought upgrade)

Since, and you should be a widely known and respected member in order to receive it, in my opinion. Every new kid can receive it within a month with repping everyone. I guarantee I can not do a single deal and hit 1K within weeks.
 
Yeah its kind of a joke now. I remember the requirements were really hard to get when he first announced it. Now I see kids left and right with Power+
 
I agree. Power+ should be for those who are widely respected and known throughout FL. I think the only RQ should be that you are chosen by @Philly himself

I don't believe that stats are everything, as you can tell by my rep and posts. I feel that Power+ should be something to aspire for, as I stated in my mini-conversation with Michael. What's the point of having a separate membership when it becomes treated just the same as the other ones? I'm not saying you don't deserve power+, this thread is in general discussion for a reason. I am asking why the requirements have simply vanished, and people who waited their turn and did what was required of them to get power+ now are having their time and commitment ruined while others can spam their way to the top. I wasn't targeting you at all in any of my posts, nor did I mention any names throughout, I simply was giving a generalization. You should also read what I was saying to Michael to see more of my standpoint on this topic.

Honestly, no you don't deserve it. This was suppose to be the hardest thing to get. You have only been a member for like 2 months.

That's what this thread is about. Power+ is now just like any other upgrade. I guess @Philly is going to make Power++ after he sees this thread. But that to, will eventually turn to shit.
 
Quanity over Quality is all I have to say. Stats don't mean anything if the person just post-boosts and requires his friends to +rep him, and do tons of giveaways just to get rep. A person may only have 100 posts, but what is better. A person with 100 posts that are literally HQ essays or, a LQ user that post-boosts and begs for rep, so they can have those numbers.
