For me I don't care about there rep, or amount of awards, it's more of deals they done in the past and how they act.
Rep is easily gain able and pretty much doesn't mean much. Amount of awards as well, just because you have 3 rows of awards doesn't mean your trusted.
I care more about how many deals they have done, and depending on what the deal is,
Let say it's my BTC for your PP, why would I go first with a irreversible currency? No that's foolish, only if it's a small exchange of say 10$ or 15$
Whoever said awards made anyone trusted? Especially when majority of the awards that are given out are user-owner awards.
Rep? Rep on here is mainly gained from rep4repping. I've noticed a lot of 2014 members do this(NO NOT ALL), and then they go out with a bang just because they have 800+ rep.
The way I consider someone trusted is the way they go about their business. If they're in a rush to get anything done, they're sketchy in my eyes. I don't care how busy you are or what you have to do but if you're rushing someone to complete a deal, you're sketchy. Also the way they treat others has a big factor on this trust thing. People that usually flame people end up scamming. Why? Because they have absolutely no respect for the forum or it's members. So why would they care if they're banned or not?
But yeah, it's really easy to tell if someone is trying to scam.
I'd judge a trustworthy member by how they'd talk to me on Skype, Xbox or Playstation etc. or how they act with me (In the sense of not constantly keeping on about OG's and instead talking about things I want to talk about). It's a weird way of judgement but that's how I personally do it.
Edit: I also forgot to say that if the user has Positive reviews as to how their past deals have gone on I'd judge them by that as other members are pleased of them.
I don't exactly Buy or Sell usernames or do anything at all with OG's but that's how I'd go about things.
Someone with all donator awards (700$+) and Philly's Star award would be more easily trusted then a new member with no awards, as they had put more into the site. so have more to lose
I can tell from the way they type/act if they are suspicious or not.
Although recently I did trust someone who I thought was my friend for exchanges of around $300, he then charged backed as unauthorised. Luckily I won without responding and I learnt to trust very few.
