Remember when a super sick gamertag would cost you like $300-$400 at most. As time goes on, for example, when the xbox one comes out, do you guys think prices for gamertags and such will continue to rise or start to drop?

I hope they drop, cuz i'm only 16 and i don't get big money to be spending on gamertags only. Most likely, they will rise. What is your opinion and why?
 
If V1's reset and I snag one, I don't care what the prices do. As of now I don't have $200+ to drop on a Gamertag. If the prices decrease then I'd be fine with buying one here and there. So, yeah, I hope they drop.
 
i think they will drop, but at the same time they might rise because the market's getting drier and drier. & im only 14 so most i can pay for a tag is around 60 & there's not a lot of tags that go for that cheap. & same things for social mediums .. : /

I don't turbo tags, i only turbo v1's. If i wake up one day and they reset V1's i will be the happiest person on Earth. And i would drop $200, but people price their shit too high. $200 tags are going for like $300-$400 and then $100 tags are going for like $200 because some people want $, which i do not blame them for, but for those like us who want to buy one, we are basically shit outta luck.
 
I don't turbo anything at all either. I have a couple that I FR'd so I can keep my eyes on them. I'll snag one and I'll be good. Plus, I just don't feel safe paying $400 for a tag, having it for 3 days, then get a pretty little console ban.
 
If I came across someone selling iDefy or Defy, I'd get that tag no matter what. I guess it all depends on how bad you want the tag. And yeah I think prices will be going up
 
Well hopefully tags reset with the new console. If so the prices will go way down
 
I think that the prices will either rise, or stay where they're at now. If the prices for gamertags ever drop, the market will die completely.
 
The prices have really surprised me. And make me sad, I used to sell 2 letter unspaced tags for $50 a piece, as well as very very very OG names which would sell for $8000-$1500 now.
 
I believe the current DB will move to Xbox One, if not, then get your keyboards ready, pretty sure people will chase for the OGs.

You are correct. All of the current V1's and V2's will cross over to the Xbox One.

So stupid.. any V1 won't be transfered at this point. You need the credit card on the account to be able to merge, and I don't think anyone has their credit card info from 10+ years ago.

Are you sure about that? I have a feeling that V1's would be transferred.

Yeah I'm just saying I think it's stupid for them to even have V1's around at this point. None get brought active anymore.. they should just do one final reset once the Xbox One comes out and delete them all.


Then everyone will have an OG GT again
 

I believe they might do that though they know we will get them.

That's why they might now do it.

I'm wishing they do so I can snag a bunch of them.
 
The prices only go up because demand is higher, tags get banned and the likeliness of getting an OG drops. Therefore the price goes up.
