I think person's intelligence is not defined by one attribute, meaning our intelligence is made up of more than the ability to do multiplication tables or read and write I was taught that being intelligent is more than just fact's and figure's, and learning from a book, don't get me wrong going to school is important and very necessary as well Collage, learning at these institutions helps in many ways especially to get work. I'm not saying that education such as reading and writing is not important, I'm just saying it does not and should define a person to be intelligent or not, human beings are complex and we should have a broader view of what general intelligence is and means
That being said I believe intelligent does not solely come from books or a class room, I think a person is intelligent if they can handle themselves well in high pressure situations or stressful moment's with grace and ease also if a person treats others how they want to be treated, and can discuss any topic and be informed, and a person is smart or intelligent if they have good general knowledge of life and other things that you can't learn from books and graph sheet's
I know of and have met many people who spend their time looking in books and have a big IQ but they can't support their family they are rude, and do not have the ability to curry a simple basic conversation beyond what they've learned inside a book, and do not have an awareness of life outside of the printed page, and behave as though they are superior to others when if fact they may have passed their IQ test with flying colors but flunked the school of life, yes education is important but it's not the only thing that makes a person smart real intelligence is grace kindness and a good general knowledge and not a rude snob who lives in a book and judges those who are smart in a different way.
What do you think defines human intelligence?
