What are some good "Free Roam" games?

What I mean by free roam is games like Minecraft and Grand Theft Auto V where you can just roam around in an almost endless world. I'm looking for new games to play on PC and I really love these kinds of games where the boundaries seem endless. If you guys could suggest a couple games like this that would be fantastic. It's also a plus if you can recommend a free roam type game but also has some sort of virtual economy, like the cash in GTA5.

arma 3 is probably the game you want.
available on steam.
 
Far Cry, Skyrim, Skate 3, I heard the Witcher is free roam as well. Nothing can be GTA doe

I'm going to check out Arma 3 on YouTube and watch a few commentaries or gameplay. I'll tell you what I think!
 
Those don't really have virtual economy but they're free-roamish haha

Doesn't matter if they are on Steam or anywhere else. RuneScape would definitely count. I love that game.
 
Witcher 3. It's a fucking brilliant game man. Real shit.
 
All of these games are open world. And most of them are quite enjoyable.

GTA V is good
MC is boring now
Read dead Redemption is AMAZING
Never tried any Just Cause
Watch Dogs is lame
Saints Row 3 was good
Never tried Tom Clancy's
Far Cry 3 was realllyyy good
Sleeping Dogs is funny for a while
Assassins Creed is great

If you have not played the Fallout series before I would recommend Fallout 3, really solid open world action game. Its especially great on PC with all the mods, you can make it look absolutely awesome even though the game is a bit old.

I'm also working on an open world MMO. However its wayyy earlier in the development. I only have characters and level designs. As well as all the basic functions laid out. There's still a lot of work to be done. Esp, for a solo project.

Pretty good game!
My fav game on the ps3 when it came out.
 
@Mountain Dew Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?? I can't say otherwise, i've never played any of the newer batmans.
