Well, after my one-month notice, yesterday was my last day at my full-time job.
I have quit my job to finally pursue my dream job. Over the last year I have desired owning and operating a photography studio. Over these last six or so months, I have completed everything needed to launch my business. Approximately two months ago I launched my business and immediately began acquiring jobs and bookings. With my business looking completely successful and bringing in quite the income, I have finally let go of the only reliable income I have.
In one week from tomorrow I will be signing off on the lease to my studio space so that my studio has a physical location. Along with that, I already have three weddings booked for this spring/summer and more than enough senior portrait sessions lined up.
Along with my studio, I have also continured my freelance graphic/website design and have had plenty of business from small businesses in the area and will soon be designing a new website for the development company that owns my previous employer.
I just thought I'd share as this is a large step in my life -- especially for only being nineteen years of age.
