Well, after my one-month notice, yesterday was my last day at my full-time job.

I have quit my job to finally pursue my dream job. Over the last year I have desired owning and operating a photography studio. Over these last six or so months, I have completed everything needed to launch my business. Approximately two months ago I launched my business and immediately began acquiring jobs and bookings. With my business looking completely successful and bringing in quite the income, I have finally let go of the only reliable income I have.

In one week from tomorrow I will be signing off on the lease to my studio space so that my studio has a physical location. Along with that, I already have three weddings booked for this spring/summer and more than enough senior portrait sessions lined up.

Along with my studio, I have also continured my freelance graphic/website design and have had plenty of business from small businesses in the area and will soon be designing a new website for the development company that owns my previous employer.

I just thought I'd share as this is a large step in my life -- especially for only being nineteen years of age.

Damn congrats dude, good luck with your business.

Congrats man! Takes a ton of guts leaving a reliable source of income to pursue your dreams. You sound very persistent and ambitious, I'm sure you're business will become successful in the future. :)

Man, congratulations, not everyone gets to pursue there dreams, I'm glad you did.

You're one step closer to the life you want to live. Congratulations. Not very many people are able to do what they want in life. Those who have a great fire are the ones who reach their vision. Be proud of what you got @"Sector", but never take it for granted. Never underestimate the challenges and difficulties of what's to come.

Happy to see someone actually doing something they desire and gaining success out of it! Keep doing what you're doing man, and keep succeeding!

Big congratulations man!
Takes lots of guts and a whole lot more confidence to just up and leave your main, reliable source of income.
Glad to see it's worked out for you so far and hopefully it continues to go smooth for you! I love photography, and your work in both the photography and design fields is impeccable.
Keep up the good work up, and again, congratulations on this massive achievement!

You're following your dreams, and that's awesome.

Best of luck with everything.
