Weird....

Okay so I have been at school all day and I just got out.

I browsed ForumKorner and posted a fews times during Math Class.

One weird thing I just noticed is my account made PM's that I did not send, ever.

The Messages:

This is super weird and it might help to say my account was compromised and I thought I had it under control.

I need some help with this, staff, but I just wanted to make this thread as a community warning.

Thanks guys.

Will do, and no problem for posting this! I really thought it needed to be said. @Sin

How do you kids keep getting hacked lol. What are you downloading?

First things first, I am not one of these new 2014 FK kids. I am a mature 15 but I would consider my intellectual age to be 17 or 18.

Secondly, I did not download any malware/virus. I scan my computer daily.

I honestly think there was a database dump, somewhere and somehow.

Sorry if I came off as a bit rude, I just needed to state the truth.

It seemed a little fishy after you didn't reply to me. Maybe it's a cover up, because if someone did access your account, the password would be changed.

Don't take it personally, I call everyone on the internet a kid, even if they are older than me.

Also, go to User-CP and check if there was another IP signed in. If not well then I dont think anyone else was signed in on the account.

Bro, change your email, and password, and if you notice anymore suspicious activity, get staff to take action! Well even take action now, but temporarily, do so. ^

I know that, at one point, the FK database was leaked around a year ago. If you've not changed your password in that long, please do so.

@"Poop", I understand man, I am trying to not be so butthurt about it Thanks for the info, there sure enough was a couple different IP's.

@"Fade", Have completed all of those and I am going to get staff to watch my account VERY closely.

@"Roy", I knew that. I am sure it is possible for it to happen again but I feel as if after the first time, Philly really upgraded this site.

I hope it is on my end and not FK's so that no one else is affected.

Since then absolutely EVERYTHING in the database has been changed. The leak is beyond useless, besides maybe finding something within the PM's which that part of the DB was not leaked that I know of. So very few have the PM's anyways. Regardless just change your password...

Idk why you are making a post about it, its not like we can rewind time, and stop it or anything, change your password, and that is all that can honestly really be done.

Most forums get lazy when their DB gets leaked and just request that users change their passwords. Likewise, a lot of users ignore the warnings and leave their passwords as the same, and then random people who access the leaked DB hack into their accounts.

That happened at an old forum I was staff at, so I was throwing it out there as a possibility.

Well I know for a fact that I did enough to where the leak is now useless.

Do you people not realize that changing the password wouldn't do a single thing? If a person truly hacked his account, his information would have been changed. It seems like a possible failed scam attempt? You also failed to even acknowledge my previous post.

Okay, sorry @"Philly". This was made mainly to warn users if they encounter a deal with this so call "me". I will do everything I need to do to my account right now.

Thank you for all of the help guys!

Also, @"Sinclair", not entirely. I feel as if something truly peculiar is happening with my account and I am not planning on doing ANY deals anytime soon.

PM me or message me on my aim (Cyber.SLayer). We can discuss this there.

Yes, entirely. Now if you were at school, that means your computer HAD to be on for the person to even mess with your account in anyway. Unless they some how got your password which is very doubtful.

I did not intend to offend you. I was merely stating what knowledge I had obtained due to past circumstances. I am sure you have taken the necessary precautions to not only patch up the old leak, but to prevent another such event.

@Sinclair please add me on aim or just PM me about this, I was unaware of PM'ing you or someone doing so.

This should be discussed somewhere other than here. But I will say I was at school just one of the times I noticed things.

Numerous times have occurred recently when someone has altered my account.
