Website Template - V1 or V2?

Alright, I finished my first website template.
Not sure if it looks decent or not, just keep in mind this is my first.

These are going to be in the middle of my website, and transparent.
When you click on ''Download'' you get a CPALead survey, and when you click on video you get redirected to the Youtube video.
The thumbnails will pop-out in original size when you click them.
(But I still need to code all that).

(Please also do note, the gray strokes will be over an white background, so they would look better then the default dark gray background of MF).

Any suggestions and improvements are highly appreciated.

I really don't like either of them, but if I have to choose, I would have to choose Version 1. I suggest you change the color theme to a more lively color. Gray, Black, and White aren't the most vivacious colors out there.

Well, this is my first, and I didn't want to go through the trouble to really choose what colors fitted and mixing them up.

I was aiming for something simple, short and easy on the eyes.

It's only on me or version 1 is the same with version 2? :/

If you want something easy on the eyes then you could have chose either a baby blue/sky blue background, gray/black borders, and white text. Thats just a basic color scheme.

The download and video buttons are separated in version 1.

So, I prefer Version 2.

Thanks, I'll try that next time.
To be honest, I tried light blue, but I couldn't find a good border color to use, and I definitely wanted to have borders ;P.
If you can suggest me a good color scheme for all the colors that I have present I will try to make it better.
