Great work, but I feel that the text is so squished together.
the name/email text forms are too big.
the "skills" section looks awkward to me.
Other than that good job.
Thanks! The text is a little squished together, I overlooked the leading while making it. Good thing it's only a mockup!

Yeah, noticed that after finishing it.
The text boxes are a little thick, I'll admit.
I didn't really want to put a "skills" area but I see it often on designers websites so I thought I'd include it in this mockup.
I'm not a fan of the "skills" section because although it shows your strengths it can also show your weaknesses, which is not good to present to a potential client.
I like the logotype. Everything else is far too large. Halve the font sizes. There's a lot of things I'd change on it, but I like what you're going for.

Thank you! I actually created that logotype in about 10 minutes just for this project, I rather like it so I may bring it into AI so that I can vector it and finalize it.
I'm learning to code HTML and CSS, and I'm working with Bootstrap so that one day I'll be able to create my website to look like this, and when I do I'd have the fonts smaller with some wider leading.
I'd like to hear the things you'd change on it. Personally if I was able to create this website right here and now, I'd for sure increase the leading in the paragraphs. Perhaps I'd split the about me into some columns as well so that I could add images in there. I would remove the skills area, because as I mentioned in an earlier post, I'm not a fan of them. The contact boxes would for sure be revamped so that they aren't so thick too.
drop the skills section entirely. No one wants to know that you only kinda know what you're doing in a program. other than that it's pretty nice. Certainly not an optimized design (Contact boxes a bit bulky) as well as having MOST of the UI not possible without uploading a sliced version of this image as your website as opposed to code.

The skill % was just randomly picked, but if I was to code the website I would drop it. I find them tacky and I agree with this: "No one wants to know that you only kinda know what you're doing in a program."
It's just a section I frequently see on designers websites so I figured I'd include it.
As for the box bulkiness, I agree. I should have made them thinner, but I'm positive all of the UI is possible using Bootstrap.
It's essentially a personalized version of my current website, that I hope to make from scratch at some point. As you can see, everything I've done here is entirely possible using Bootstrap as my website demonstrates.
