In this guide you will find how to flip and the best items to use.
Using these methods, I made anywhere from 1-6m a day, spending maximum of 1 hour putting in buying and selling offers. If I included my power flip method as well, I could have made anywhere up to 15m a day. This was with a 120m cash pile.
Meaning of 'flipping':
Flipping basically means buying low and selling high. It is ALOT faster than clan merchanting in my opinion as you can do multiple flips per day, maximising profit and with very low risk of losing money.
To flip effectively you need to know how to find the buying and selling price.
How to find the buying price.
First of all, you need to find the auto-buy price. This basically means the price you can get the item for in the grand exchange immediately without having to wait. We use this price as a start to our flip. To find out the buying price put an offer for the item in the grand exchange for maximum price. Note down the price you get the item for as we will be selling the item(s) for just under this price.
Here for example, I buy a Ranarr seed for max price and receive it for 27,695.
Now we have found the buying price, we now need to find the price to buy it at.
Now, the buying price of items varies depending on the price of the item. With the list which I made below, you should buy the item for the buying price (which we just found out), minus the price shown below.
Typical buying prices of items
If the item is 1k, buy for 20-40gp below the buying price.
If the item is 10k, buy for 200-300gp below the buying price.
If the item is 50k, buy for 1k to 1.5k below the Buying price.
If the item is 100k, buy for 1.5k-2.5k below the buying price.
Using the above prices, 90% of items will buy for them prices. It's very simple. If an item was 1m, you would just multiply the price above for the 100k item by 10 to receive the correct buying price for a 1m item.
Good/Useful Items
Although these give good profits, I know some items which buy and sell very easily and give great profit considering the amount you invest. It is possible to make 1.5m per flip with 30m starting cash.
Raw Sharks – You are able to profit up to 1m per 20k Sharks.
Ranarr Seeds – Can make up to 1.5m per 1k Seeds.
Grimy/clean Ranarrs – Can make up to 2.5m/3m with 10k Ranarrs.
Raw Monkfish – up to 700k per 20k Monkfish.
Papaya tree seeds – Can make up to 2.8m per 1k Seeds.
Guthan’s helms – Can make 1m per 10 helms.
Ahrim’s robeskirt – 1.2m-1.5m per 10 skirts.
Clean/grimy avantoe – can make 1.5-2m per 10k.
Clean/grimy Irit – 1-2.5m per 10k.
Barrows sets – Depends on price.
Ranging potions – Up to 2m per 10k.
Prayer potions – Up to 4m per 10k potions.
Once you have purchased an item, you must wait 4 hours before you can sell it.
Once the 4 hours have passed, your items will start selling.
You must then wait ANOTHER 4 hours before you can re-buy the item again.
This is why I suggest you do other flips inbetween flips.
How to make money while waiting for items to buy (Power flipping) :
Also while I’m flipping, I powerflip aswell. This is when you flip, but are able to avoid the 4 hour grand exchange limit this is by slightly adjusting the item.
I usually buy grimy herbs and clean them and then sell them. This can get me up to 2m an hour, depending on the prices I buy.
The best herbs to clean are usually ranarrs, snapdragons and kwuarms.
